Unmatched Comfort for Your MDT ACC Chassis
Transform your shooting experience with the Thumb Rest for the MDT ACC Chassis V2. Designed specifically for the MDT ACC chassis, this thumb rest provides exceptional comfort, allowing you to maintain your focus on performance. Warning: Installation of this product is a bit more involved and required permanently modifying your chassis. For proper installation, you will need to drill and tap an M5 hole in the side of your chassis. If you prefer not to do this, please check out the V1 version of the thumb rest that simply sticks on.
Designed for Both Left and Right-Handed Shooters
Understanding that the needs of shooters can vary significantly, our Thumb Rest comes in both left and right-handed versions. Left handed is for the left side of the rifle and right handed is for the right side of the rifle. This accessibility ensures that every shooter can achieve an ergonomic grip and improved firing precision, enhancing overall shooting comfort and performance. Thanks to its screw on design, it is also adjustable in both angle and depth.
Installation instructions
1) place the thumb rest in the desired location on the chassis and mark the center of the hole that will later accept a screw
2) center punch the mark
3) drill with a small (2-3 mm) drill bit, about 14mm deep
4) drill out the hole with a 4.2mm drill bit for M5 tapping
5) tap with M5 tap kit
6) clean out the hole with IPA and compressed air
7) attach thumb rest with provided screw and some thread locker
The mount comes with 1 M5x10 screw.
If that seems like too much, please consider the V1 version. Theoretically, its also possible to glue on the V2 version, but its not advised.
Material & Manufacturing Process
All Position 7 products are 3D printed using high-quality PETG filament, a tough and reliable polymer chosen for its great balance of strength, flexibility, and weight. PETG is also thermally resistant and won’t warp under normal use — it can handle temperatures up to 80 °C (176 °F) without issues.
Because each item is 3D printed, you might notice fine layer lines or small surface marks, especially on angled or curved areas. These are a natural part of the process and don’t affect how the product performs.
Please note that our products are not made from metal. PETG is more than strong enough for its intended purpose and lighter than steel or aluminium — we use it ourselves in competition settings and stand by its performance.
